Waiting is a six-foot rotating color wheel inspired by the tiny graphic that appears when a computer program begins to crash. To emphasize the helplessness and frustration of this moment, this kinetic photo-sculptural piece rotates maddeningly slowly — about one revolution per minute. Despite our eagerness to embrace the digital age, we are yanked back into the physical present at these moments of failure, leaving no option but to stare blankly at the screen.
